On February 26, 2018, more than 100 citizens gathered on a mountainside in Oklahoma’s Kiamichi Wilderness on a cold, rainy Sunday afternoon to honor four young RAF pilots from Course 12 who lost their lives during World War II. Flying AT-6 planes, they set out on a low level, cross-country training flight to the No. 3 School at Miami, OK. but ran into bad weather near the Texas-Oklahoma border. A number of planes turned back; others continued to their destination without incident, however three crashed nears Antlers, OK.
